Every two years, Hawaii becomes the center of the world’s largest international maritime exercise, which is Exercise Rim of the Pacific 2026. As service members from across the globe arrive on Oahu, the islands take on a unique energy. An energy rooted in cooperation, readiness, and shared respect between nations and cultures.

At Loyalty Tattoo Kailua, RIMPAC is more than a military exercise. It’s personal.

What Is RIMPAC — and Why It Matters

RIMPAC (Exercise Rim of the Pacific) brings together thousands of service members from 32 allied nations to train, collaborate, and strengthen maritime security across the Pacific. Hosted primarily in and around Hawaii. This exercise is a reminder of the strategic importance of these islands and the people who serve here.

For local communities, RIMPAC means welcoming new faces, supporting visiting military members, and recognizing the commitment required to serve. For many service members, this may be their first time in Hawaii or their first visit in years.

The Marine Corps Base Hawaii has unveiled the official logo for the 30th iteration of the conference. U.S. 3rd Fleet Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Lordin Kelly designed the logo for this conference.

A Military-Owned Tattoo Shop with Respect for Service

Loyalty Tattoo Kailua is owned by Chris Gilvarry, a Marine Corps veteran who understands firsthand what service demands. The long hours, discipline, sacrifice, and the bonds formed along the way. That background shapes the culture of our studio.

From the way we operate to how we treat our clients, Loyalty Tattoo was built on values that resonate within the military community: respect and accountability. There’s no ego here, just solid work, honest conversations, and a team that takes pride in doing things the right way.

Tattoos with Meaning During RIMPAC

For many service members, tattoos mark moments in time, deployments, milestones, brotherhood, remembrance, and identity. During RIMPAC, we often see clients looking to commemorate their experience in Hawaii with something meaningful. This can be a unit symbol, dates, cultural elements, or a personal reminder of service.

Our artists take the time to listen, collaborate, and design tattoos that reflect those stories with care and intention. Whether you’re booking an appointment or stopping in while you’re in town, Loyalty Tattoo Kailua is here to make sure the experience matches the significance of the piece.

Military Pricing & Support at Loyalty Tattoo

Supporting the military community isn’t seasonal for us; it’s part of who we are year-round. Loyalty Tattoo proudly offers military pricing as a way to give back to those who serve.

This is about acknowledging service and making high-quality, professional tattoo work more accessible to active duty and veterans. If you’re in Hawaii for RIMPAC 2026, our team is happy to walk you through availability, design options, and what makes the most sense for your schedule.

During the biennial RIMPAC, our calendars fill up fast with service members getting tattooed. We recommend scheduling early to confirm availability.

A Place to Feel Welcome While You’re Here

RIMPAC can be intense. Training schedules are demanding, and time off can be limited. When service members walk into Loyalty Tattoo, our goal is simple: make them feel welcome, respected, and at ease.

Located in Kailua, just a short drive from major bases and training areas, our shop offers a calm, professional environment where you can take a break and work with artists who understand both the culture of tattooing and the culture of service.

Looking Ahead to RIMPAC 2026

As RIMPAC 2026 approaches, we’re honored to once again be part of the broader military community that helps make Hawaii what it is. Whether you’re a local service member, visiting for the exercise, or a family member supporting someone in uniform, know that our doors are open.

If you’re thinking about a tattoo to mark your time here, or simply want to learn more about military pricing and availability, the Loyalty Tattoo Kailua team is always happy to help.

From all of us at Loyalty Tattoo: welcome to Hawaii, and thank you for your service.
